Kendra Kays is committed to ensuring a digital experience that is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed the standards set forth in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, while continually monitoring and improving our accessibility practices.
Our Commitment
- We strive to make our site usable for people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, speech recognition software, and other assistive technologies.
- We regularly review and audit our site’s content, design, and code for accessibility issues.
- We endeavor to integrate accessibility into our site updates, design decisions, and new features.
What We’ve Done So Far
Some of the accessibility measures we have taken include:
- Providing alternative text (alt text) or meaningful descriptions for images, where appropriate.
- Structuring content with semantic HTML using proper heading order (H1 → H2 → H3, etc.)
- Ensuring keyboard navigation support so users can navigate without a mouse (Tab, Shift+Tab)
- Maintaining visible focus indicators (outline or highlight) on interactive elements.
- Verifying that color contrast in text and interface elements meets or exceeds WCAG recommended ratios.
- Labeling form fields clearly and providing useful error messages and instructions.
- Reviewing our theme and code to follow Shopify’s accessibility best practices.
Known Limitations & Ongoing Work
While we work diligently toward full accessibility, there may be occasional or residual issues, such as:
- Some older product images or decorative graphics may lack ideal alt text.
- Occasionally, third‑party apps or widgets integrated into the site may not be fully accessible.
- Some complex components (e.g. advanced sliders, dynamic content, or overlays) may not behave optimally with all assistive tools.
- In rare cases, certain content added after our last audit might temporarily fall short of WCAG compliance.
We treat these issues as high priority and address them as part of our regular updates.

How We Maintain & Improve Accessibility

- We schedule periodic accessibility audits to catch regressions or new issues. We incorporate accessibility checks into our theme updates and new feature rollouts.
- We stay informed of best practices, changes in WCAG standards, and accessibility trends in ecommerce.

Our goal is to conform with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. While no site can guarantee perfect accessibility, we believe that accessibility is an ongoing process, and we are dedicated to continuous improvement.
